12/14/09 Freezing Rain & Wind was a problem for foothills & Whatcom Co.
A Strong East Wind blew through the Cascade Passes at 25 miles per hour with gusts to 45 and the temperature was near freezing in the foothills. Gold Bar to North Bend to Enumclaw and points Eastward had some icing on trees and roads as freezing rain moves into the area on 12/14/09. (The Anniversary of the Hanukkah Eve Wind Storm of 2006 Dec. 14th & 15th)
My Mother-in-Law near Bellingham (on the water) reported a gusty wind and she’s called it an ice storm. She said the window’s became a sheet of ice along with with roads as freezing rain fell late on 12/14/09.
One of my Tweeters on Twitter, up near the Canadian Border, said was so windy and a total white out in Lynden.
A Winter Storm Warning for Heavy Snow, Some Freezing Rain and strong wind gusts continued in the Cascade Passes 12/15/09.
