Jet Steam End of Jan. into the Beginning of Feb.
The Jet Stream is a very fast river of air in the upper levels of the atmosphere and in the GFS weather model below, it is the blue and purple area or the Jet Stream, that dives north to south off of the California coast and the purple area is called a Jet Max with over 150 mph wind that steers the storm systems away from the Northwest. This week and into the weekend, Seattle will only see occasional weak weather systems with lighter rain at times. California will continue with the risk of showers from time to time and cool weather. New York City will continue chilly with the occasional risk of some snow showers as the main Jet stays mainly south of Manhattan or directly overhead. So, below is my forecast for Seattle, Hollywood, and New York City for the first week in Feb.
